Things to do in the Algarve

Mediterranean gardens are the low maintenance and low cost way to enjoy gardening and outdoor living in the Algarve. The Mediterranean Garden Association provides information and guidance on how to create and keep your perfect indigenous garden.
We all know at least one person who has cancer; that horrible, insidious disease that the medical world has been fighting for years now. I know some of my friends have beaten it, some have lost their battle and others are fighting it as I write. So here’s something positive that we can all do to aid and abet those brave people.
There are so many great places to visit around the Algarve. Some are little-promoted and others are tucked away so well that only the locals know about them. Parque da Mina is on the main road up to Monchique, but have you stopped off for a visit yet?
