Cultural week in Alte

The 17th annual Cultural Week in Alte opens on 25th too and runs until 1st May.

To start the week off there is the annual mountain bike ride, where riders come from all over the Algarve to participate. This is followed with the inauguration of a painting and photography exhibition. Each day brings a different cultural aspect; including children’s entertainment, theatre, local food and music, exhibitions and a dance show. On the last day, another public holiday in Portugal, the grand finale features a folklore festival and a Traditional Wedding at Fonte Grande.
