From the western Atlantic coast to the Spanish border in the east, there is an incredible variety on offer. Better still, the Algarve Tourist board goes all out to provide safety and accessibility at many of the beaches across the region. For 2013, the FEEE (Foundation for Environmental Education in Europe) has awarded 69 of the Algarve's beaches and 4 marinas with the coveted Blue Flag for safety and environmental care.
