The 8th International Algarve Fair was a huge success, with plenty of people enjoying all the entertainment and glorious sunny weather. You can read all about Meravista’s success at the Fair in our earlier blog.
Meravista went all out to entertain the hundreds of visitors to the stand, providing cookies and cupcakes, balloons for the kids, and entertainment from Michele with her trusty guitar and great voice. As the temperatures soared and the sun shone down, our guests were given ice cold water to quench their thirst.
But above all we enlightened all and sundry about the best website ever for buying or selling property in the Algarve: Meravista.com.
In keeping with our fun, light-hearted theme, much of the information about Meravista was shared by giving our visitors the chance to enter two fun competitions.
The Property Hunter
With a grand prize of a case of Portuguese wine plus €100 in cash up for grabs, this competition involved watching three short video demos of the Meravista website and answering three questions. Since navigating Meravista can be done with ease, very few had any trouble coming up with the right answers. For those curious to know, the questions (and answers!) are:
Q. What colour are the largest clusters of properties on the Meravista map?
A. Red
Q. How many properties can you compare side-by-side on Meravista.com?
A. Five
Q. What animal do you see in the driveway of the property in Albufeira?
A. A dog
The lucky winner in the draw of all the correct answers is Pam da Silva of Portimão, from Sovereign Group. Pam receives a case of fine wine and a nice cash bonus!
Guess how many goodies in the jar?
A large jar filled with Meravista giveaways, the task was to guess ‘How many items are in the jar?’
Did you hear the one about the Englishman, the Portuguese man and the Irishman? They happily filled out their forms but forgot to write down their guess! Sorry guys, you don’t win this time!
The correct answer was 82 Items. Nobody got a spot-on answer but there were four contestants who guessed within 1 item. After a draw, the lucky winner of the case of fine Portuguese wine is Marian Lammerstma of Silves.
Now I am not the type of person to renege on a promise, so if either of our lucky winners needs any help at all with sipping their wine, I am more than willing to oblige… By the way did you see our earlier blogs about Drinking in the Algarve? Lots of information about the various popular drinks and of course all kinds of excellent wine!
