Algarve Search Trends by Country
Everyone searches in a different way. A person can begin his or her search by typing in ‘Algarve Property’, or ‘Property in the Algarve’ or ‘Algarve Real Estate’. They may be asking these same questions in any language. So the combination of Algarve search terms is limitless. But they all share the same word: Algarve.
So we ask Google Trends to tell us the volume of searches that include the word Algarve for every country on earth over the last four year period (Note from Google about these numbers: “The numbers on the graph reflect how many searches have been done for a particular term, relative to the total number of searches done on Google over time. They don't represent absolute search volume numbers, because the data is normalized and presented on a scale from 0-100. Each point on the graph is divided by the highest point, or 100”).
And here are the results:
By far the greatest average search ‘level’ over a four year period comes from Ireland. The top nine are as follows:
1. Ireland, 56
2. United Kingdom, 21
3. Spain, 20
4. Netherlands, 17
5. Belgium, 11
6. Norway, 8
7. Germany, 7
8. Sweden, 5
9. France, 4
So what does all this mean? Because it is a representation of all searches that used the word Algarve, each country’s score includes searches for cooking, travel, history and, yes, real estate. However, it is logical to assume that a greater overall search volume includes a greater interest in real estate as well.
Notice also how the highest peaks, regardless of country, are in July, and the lowest in December.
